Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival is a registered charity. Income generated through our Official Live Stream contributes towards the substantial costs of staging, supporting and promoting Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival and helps us continue this historic tradition for future generations.
We want everyone purchasing access to our Official Live Stream to do so with confidence. Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival will work closely with our appointed live-streaming, production and technical suppliers and will take all reasonable steps within our control to provide a reliable, enjoyable and high-quality broadcast.
As with any major live outdoor event and live internet broadcast, circumstances may arise which are outside our reasonable control.
By purchasing access to the Official Live Stream, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. The Official Live Stream
1.1. The Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival Official Live Stream will provide online coverage of Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival on Saturday 7 November 2026.
1.2. The broadcast will commence at 6:00pm and will combine historic Carnival footage, coverage building up to 2026, behind-the-scenes material, interviews and live coverage from around the route.
1.3. The main broadcast area for full live procession coverage is in Bridgwater town centre. The procession usually reaches this area at approximately 7:00pm, but its arrival time may vary on the night.
1.4. Where operationally, technically and safely possible, we also intend to provide coverage of the traditional squibbing display following the procession.
1.5. All advertised timings, content and features are given in good faith but are indicative and may be subject to change.
1.6. Due to the nature of a live event, we cannot guarantee that every advertised feature, location, participating entry, performance or element of the Carnival will appear within the broadcast.
2. Purchase and pricing
2.1. Paid access to the Official Live Stream is provided through a livestream ticket linked to the email address used at checkout. Complimentary access may instead be provided through an authorised access code or a direct grant.
2.2. The advertised Early Bird price is £5 per livestream ticket.
2.3. Early Bird access will be available from 1 September 2026 until 11:59pm on Friday 6 November 2026, unless otherwise stated.

2.5. All purchases are subject to successful payment authorisation.
2.6. The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that all information provided when making a purchase is accurate, including their email address where this is used to deliver access details.
2.7. Any additional transaction or processing charges, where applicable, will be displayed before the transaction is completed.
3. Access and permitted use
3.1. Each paid purchase provides a viewing entitlement linked to the email address used at checkout. The purchaser must sign in with that same email address to open the protected live player. No password or paid access code is required.
3.2. Access is provided for private and domestic viewing by the purchaser and their household unless expressly stated otherwise.
3.3. A ticket, account, sign-in link or complimentary access code must not be:
- resold

3.4. Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival reserves the right to suspend or disable access where we reasonably believe that a ticket, account, sign-in link or complimentary access code has been fraudulently obtained, resold, publicly distributed or otherwise misused.
3.5. No refund will normally be provided where access has been suspended or terminated as a result of fraud, misuse or a material breach of these Terms & Conditions by the purchaser.
4. Book with confidence - cancellation before the event
4.1. If Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival 2026 is cancelled in its entirety before the Carnival procession and Official Live Stream have commenced, purchasers of advance live stream access will be entitled to a refund of the price paid for their live stream access.

5.5. Nothing in this section excludes or restricts any statutory rights which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
6. Live stream interruptions and technical difficulties
6.1. Live internet broadcasting depends upon a range of technology and third-party infrastructure, including internet connectivity, mobile networks, telecommunications services, cameras, sound and broadcast equipment, power supplies, streaming platforms, servers, software and hosting services.

6.6. If the broadcast has commenced but subsequently becomes interrupted, reduced or unavailable because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, a refund will not automatically be payable.
6.7. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any statutory remedy available to a consumer where the service has not been supplied in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
7. Failure to provide the live stream
7.1. If the Official Live Stream cannot be supplied, or there is a significant failure in the service for which Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival is legally responsible, any entitlement to a refund, price reduction or other remedy will be determined in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
7.2. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or limit any consumer right or remedy which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

10. Squibbing coverage
10.1. We intend, where operationally, technically and safely possible, to provide coverage of Bridgwater's traditional squibbing display.
10.2. Due to the nature and timing of a live outdoor event, coverage of the squibbing display cannot be absolutely guaranteed.
10.3. Failure to broadcast the squibbing display because of operational, technical, weather, safety or other circumstances outside our reasonable control will not, by itself, normally entitle a purchaser to a refund.
11. Online purchases and cancellation rights
11.1. Purchases are subject to applicable UK consumer legislation, including, where applicable, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

11.3. For purchases made within 14 days of the broadcast, the purchaser will be asked to give express consent for the digital-content supply to begin before the cancellation period ends and to acknowledge that the statutory right to cancel will be lost once the livestream begins. The checkbox is not selected in advance, and the acknowledgement is recorded with the purchase.
11.4. A purchaser may use the following model wording, although it is not compulsory: “To Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival: I give notice that I cancel my contract for the Official Live Stream. Name: [name]. Booking email: [email]. Order reference: [reference]. Date: [date].”

12.4. Subject always to statutory rights, refunds will not normally be provided because:
- the purchaser decides not to watch the broadcast
- the purchaser misses all or part of the broadcast
- the purchaser experiences problems caused by their own equipment or internet connection
- the purchaser provides incorrect contact information and consequently does not receive their access information
- reasonable changes are made to the advertised programme or coverage
- a particular Carnival entry, feature or activity does not appear within the broadcast
- squibbing cannot be broadcast for reasons outside our reasonable control
- the live stream experiences temporary technical difficulties outside our reasonable control
- the event or broadcast is affected after commencement by circumstances outside our reasonable control
12.5. Nothing in this section excludes any refund, price reduction or other remedy to which a purchaser is entitled under applicable consumer law.

15.4. Where reasonably practicable, Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival and its appointed suppliers will take reasonable steps to minimise the effects of a Force Majeure Event and, where possible, continue or restore the Carnival and/or Official Live Stream.
15.5. If a Force Majeure Event results in the entire Carnival being cancelled before both the Carnival procession and Official Live Stream have commenced, advance live stream purchasers will be entitled to a refund of the price paid for their live stream access in accordance with Section 4.
15.6. If the Carnival procession and/or Official Live Stream has already commenced and is subsequently interrupted, delayed, suspended, curtailed, altered or cancelled because of a Force Majeure Event, a refund will not normally be provided, subject always to the purchaser's statutory rights.
